Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re probably aware Google has now turned off all that free data flowing into your Universal Analytics, aka “GA3”. That’s right. June 30th was the last day.

Hopefully, you shifted everything over to the new and (mostly) improved GA4 (or analytics platform of your choice) and are busy learning your way around that new set of tools and reports.

Friendly reminder: if you haven’t migrated yet, you can still do so any time. Just remember you won’t be getting any data until you set up the new property, so don’t wait too much longer. Luckily, setting up a basic GA4 account takes about 15 minutes.

What’s happening to my old Universal Analytics data?

If you are worried about losing your old Universal Analytics data, remember we have lots of time to deal with that–12 months to be exact.

Google has committed to providing access to your old reports and data through June 2024. So, go ahead and take that summer vacation. Your UA data will still be here when you get back!
